Hello! I'm Radu, a passionate Full Stack Software Engineer from Romania, who explored the fascinating world of Machine Learning during my Master's studies at the Polytechnic University of Timisoara (2023–2025). My journey in computer science began with a strong foundation from Babes-Bolyai University and an enriching Erasmus experience at Eindhoven University of Technology, which has fueled my ambition and curiosity in this ever-evolving field.

My path to innovation

From a young age, I've been captivated by the power of programming and its potential to transform ideas into reality. This passion was recognized early through my qualifications for the National Olympiad in Computer Science for three consecutive years (2017–2019) and my achievements at Unihack, where I was a finalist in 2021 and won the Best React App title in 2023.

My technical expertise is broad, ranging from machine learning and TensorFlow to web technologies like React.js, Next.js, Node.js, Spring and FastAPI, backed by strong algorithmic and data structure knowledge. I'm proficient in C/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript and TypeScript, which has been instrumental in my role as a Full Stack Software Engineer.

I've worked on diverse projects, from Web3 games publishing platforms to payment gateway systems and IoT-based warehouse management systems, leveraging AWS technologies to their full potential.

Since 2024, I've been working on Plaace, a Nordic location-intelligence platform, as a full stack engineer and solution architect. More recently my focus has shifted towards AI engineering: building AI features and an LLM chat agent that answers questions using the platform's data. In 2026 I became a Claude Certified Architect, alongside my AWS Developer Associate certification.

Beyond the code

I am not just about algorithms and coding; my journey is also about making a meaningful impact. My research on Automatic Deforestation Detection using Satellite Imagery, presented at the Computer Science Students Conference 2023, reflects my dedication to leveraging technology for environmental conservation.

My philosophy is simple: stay curious, be relentless in your pursuit of knowledge, and use technology to make a difference. As I continue to grow professionally, I remain committed to exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
